Phylogeny of Strombidae (Gastropoda) Based on Mitochondrial Genomes

چکیده
The marine gastropod Strombidae is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions all over the world possesses high morphological diversity. In order to better understand how characteristics evolved within Strombidae, a robust phylogenetic framework needed. present study, complete mitochondrial genomes of Lentigo lentiginosus , Euprotomus aratrum Canarium labiatum were sequenced. three newly sequenced mt contained 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, two ribosomal (rRNA) several non-coding regions, indicating similar pattern with respect genome size, gene order, nucleotide composition compared those other strombids reported before. Two different datasets derived from constructed resolve internal relationships Stromboidea Strombidae. Within Stromboidea, sister group formed by Clade I [Rostellariidae + (Seraphsidae Strombidae)] II [Xenophoridae (Struthiolariidae Aporrhaidae)] fully recovered supported synapomorphies as previously suggested. positions L. E. C. confirmed similarities observed corresponding phylogeny. A correlation between speciation events paleoclimate change was presumed. Our results indicate that would be promising tool reconstruct phylogeny an increased taxon sampling future.

Phylogeny of major lineages of galliform birds (Aves: Galliformes) based on complete mitochondrial genomes.
Complete mitochondrial DNA sequences have been used successfully to estimate phylogenetic relationships among animal taxa, and for studies of population genetics and molecular evolution. We made phylogenetic analyses of 22 species of Galliformes, with two species of Anseriformes as outgroups, using maximum likelihood (ML), maximum parsimony (MP) and Bayesian inference (BI) methods based on the ...
متن کاملMolecular phylogeny of Oryzeae (Poaceae) based on DNA sequences from chloroplast, mitochondrial, and nuclear genomes.
The phylogeny and evolutionary history of the rice tribe (Oryzeae) were explored using sequences of five DNA fragments (matK, trnL, nad1, Adh2, and GPA1) from chloroplast, mitochondrial, and nuclear genomes. Results indicate that (1) Oryzeae is monophyletic and falls into two main clades corresponding to the traditionally recognized subtribes; (2) previous recognition of three monotypic genera ...

We determined the complete nucleotide sequence of the mitochondrial (mt) genome of five individual caecilians (Amphibia: Gymnophiona) representing five of the six recognized families: Rhinatrema bivittatum (Rhinatrematidae), Ichthyophis glutinosus (Ichthyophiidae), Uraeotyphlus cf. oxyurus (Uraeotyphlidae), Scolecomorphus vittatus (Scolecomorphidae), and Gegeneophis ramaswamii (Caeciliidae). The mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) of Formosatettix qinlingensis, Coptotettix longjiangensis and Thoradonta obtusilobata (Orthoptera: Caelifera: Tetrigoidea) were sequenced in this study, and almost the entire mitogenomes of these species were determined. The mitogenome sequences obtained for the three species were 15,180, 14,495 and 14,538 bp in length, respectively, and each sequence inc...
متن کاملA comprehensive analysis of bilaterian mitochondrial genomes and phylogeny.
About 2800 mitochondrial genomes of Metazoa are present in NCBI RefSeq today, two thirds belonging to vertebrates. Metazoan phylogeny was recently challenged by large scale EST approaches (phylogenomics), stabilizing classical nodes while simultaneously supporting new sister group hypotheses. The use of mitochondrial data in deep phylogeny analyses was often criticized because of high substitut...
